Dive Operations Superintendent Based in Townsville, Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is a marine contractor at the forefront of the Maritime Industry in Northern Australia and the Pacific Rim. With approximately 140 employees working in Marine, Dive and Construction, PMG prides itself on its ability to efficiently undertake work in each of these areas as well as complete larger projects integrating all divisions of the business. PMG undertakes a broad range of commercial dive work including construction diving, vessel & structure inspections, salvage, COTS eradication & research project support. About the role PMG is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated & forward thinking Dive Operations Superintendent focused on continual development & improvement of the business' dive capability. An established & well respected commercial dive company, PMG is committed to delivering above client expectations, and sees this role as being central to our delivery & achievement of this. Supporting a varied client base, including Tier 1 companies, this role provides strong leadership & support to our dive teams, assisting them to deliver safe and efficient operations both at the job sites and remotely. With responsibility for the co-ordination, preparation & execution of our dive projects, this role works with the Dive Manager to develop project methodologies and tender proposals, facilitate operational aspects of our dive works and manage dive personnel. About the candidate With a solid commercial dive background, the successful candidate will understand the inherent requirements of the industry and be passionate about seeking out new, innovative ways to undertake work, along with identifying new service delivery opportunities for our clients. You will have a demonstrated history of delivering high quality work and can manage the safety, quality, cost and client relationships associated with a project, whilst also demonstrating flexibility in your approach. Your ability to understand the skills & experience of your team allows you to maximise their productivity, whilst working with them to drive new ideas and improvements in the dive department. Your professional presentation, attention to detail and high quality communication skills (both verbal & written) assist you to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As a 'practical' leader, you will continue to maintain your ADAS Dive Supervisor qualifications, Dive Medical and other relevant tickets - allowing you to be an active member of your dive teams from time to time. The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel. This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
