About this opportunity
The Dive Instructor is responsible for operating the PADI DSD Dive Experience on a day to day basis, delivering an exceptional guest experience and ensuring guest safety at all time. We are looking for Full-Time Dive Instructor who has remote island experience or east Africa experience, its not essential however will be beneficial. You must be a professional and safety conscious individual, who has the ability to work well within a team and be able to deliver a luxury experience. This will include briefing and overseeing guest dive experience through to conducting snorkeling trips and having the right attitude and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. We constantly develop new ideas to engage with our guests and you are invited to support this with new, innovative ideas. You will also ensure the appropriate storage and maintenance of our dive equipment in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, local guidelines, and company policies. Nitrox diving, gas blending and compressor certification will be highly beneficial due to the remote working environment we are situated in. The role is on a remote luxury island that forms parts of a key department within a pristine resort. Accommodation, meals, uniform, Travel cost to and from the island based on allowance basis will be provided. Salary is neg based on Experience and Market related.
Job requirements: You hold a minimum of PADI Instructor with proven dive experience and are able to ensure correct maintenance is carried out in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, local regulations and company diving policy. Gained significant experience as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor in dive practice and theory including Emergency Action Plans and equipment maintenance A working knowledge of guiding divers, allowing for delivery of a ‘wow’ experience A good understanding of dive logging and problem resolution to ensure proper communication in line with company policy Health and Safety is your number one priority A First Aid certificate is beneficial but can also be trained on site You will have a strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Skipper license and other watersport activity knowledge will be ideal for the perfect candidate.
We offer water activities from diving , snorkeling, fishing, surf ski, SUP, jetski, wake boarding, skiing and Kite surfing. These key areas will be considered as multi skilled tasked that will be beneficial in applying for the ideal candidate. This is not required however these areas are part of the key success of our operations.
