About this opportunity

Neco marine is looking to hire an experienced instructor for a long term role to lead diving tours, island tours and teach courses in Koror, Palau. Ideal Candidates demonstrate: • At least 2 years of experience guiding and teaching courses • Proficiency in English and/or Mandarin, Italian, or Japanese • Punctuality and an excellent work ethic • Ability to set up, plan and manage dive plans for groups • Excellence in safety standards • Ability to work well with diverse workforce • Flexibility and willingness to handle various work roles and situations • Ability to encourage social media interaction and customer feedback Job Responsibilities include: • Daily client, tank gear and boat set ups prior to each tour • Handling course instruction • Responding to client inquiries on social media and in person • Assisting staff with daily hotel pick ups and with client inquiries • Arranging client meals and requests • Leading diving tours, dive courses, rock island tours and city tours • Coordinating with reservations, restaurant, gear room and transportation staff Benefits include: • 50% contribution to National Health Care Fund applicable to health care expenses on island • Discounts at NECO Group shops and restaurants • Transportation • Free personal dives or island tours during days off on scheduled tours • Complimentary PADI course certifications up to Divemaster • $250 monthly Housing Allowance • Roundtrip ticket to and from Palau to nearest port of entry • Optional basic employee housing Salary and additional benefits negotiable based on experience and contract term. SGS Government Solutions is seeking a Master Diver \ Diver First Class to support operations at an RQS in Portland, OR. The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel. This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
