About this opportunity

PADI OWSI is needed for the low season from Feb to April. Available immediately. Polhena Diving Center (S-26840) is looking for a Scuba instructor for our southern season. We are a small scuba diving center in Sri Lanka focusing on marine conservation and solo/small group dive tours. Private accommodation and all meals are provided. Commission-based work. (25%) DSDs/Guiding/Scuba Courses. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a fixed salary yet because dive tourism is still recovering during the low season. This position is ideal for an instructor who likes to explore the country in their free time and gain an extra income. Or a fresher who would love to gain some experience. Our dive conditions. 28-30 C warm ocean waters. 10-15m visibility and shallow to mid-depth rocky reefs. We have a four-person staff. What we are looking for: English speaking, French as an additional language is a plus. Positive attitude, Down to Earth, super friendly person! SGS Government Solutions is seeking a Master Diver \ Diver First Class to support operations at an RQS in Portland, OR. The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel. This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
