Description Decypher is seeking Master Diver candidates to support the 57th RQS at Aviano, Italy. This position will assist the 57th RQS by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment and operation of boats during unit dive operations. In addition, this position will support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of AFSPECWAR Airmen. The successful candidate will possess USN First Class Navy Diver qualifications with experience as a Command Master Diver. US Citizenship and active Secret clearance required. Responsibilities • Assist RQS Commander/Director of Operations as members of the Military Technical Acceptance Board (MTAB) and/or Technical Training Acceptance Board (TTAB) • Assist with establishing qualification and re-qualification criteria and administrative procedures for documentation in training records and diving logs for Air Forcediving personnel. • Make recommendations to lead command ACC and USAFE diving program manager on Air Force diving operations, equipment and training matters that affect GA. • Participate in or assist with joint and sister service diving program conferences, as requested by lead command ACC, USAFE diving program manager, or RQS commander. • Review all reported diving incidents in order to recommend/direct coordinated changes to training and procedures, where appropriate. • Maintain Dive Master List (for messages, e-mail, FAX numbers, etc.) of all Diving Program Manager and disseminate information periodically to promote communication. • Provide training on all dive equipment and procedures utilized by GA and AFSPECWAR Airmen. Conduct formal and informal training on the maintenance of assigned equipment/systems and ancillary equipment. • Assist the squadron training and scheduling section with planning, coordinating, and conducting training in open water diving, Dive Locker/Maritime operations, rough water operations, and low visibility diving/underwater mechanical dexterity training • Schedule, direct, and monitor 3M system while keeping abreast of changes/directives issued by the US Navy. Administer all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually or greater 3M maintenance requirements for assigned diving related equipment. ensure Dive Locker/Maritime equipment such as Inflatable CRRC’s, Outboard Motors, Training Safety Boats (such as, Whalers, SAFE Boat, and RHIB’s), ARC/GARC, Rigged Inflatable Boats (RIBs) Watercraft and other associated equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition • Conduct inventory and maintenance of the 57th RQS diving-related equipment toinclude hydrostatic testing of SCUBA bottles and other compressed cylinders IAWDepartment of Transportation regulations. Maintain master files for Government Provided Equipment (GPE) inventory and dive-related programs. • Maintain and update government furnished regulations, publications, and directives required by MAJCOM, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Naval Safety Center pertaining to waterborne operations. • Advise/assist in Air Force investigations and analysis of accidents, incidents, and failures. Provide technical expertise and assistance in report writing. • Maintain the Naval Safety Center Dive/Jump ReportingSystem (DJRS), provide quality assurance inspection of dive related information, make entriesinto the system and provide GA divers with copies of Personal Dive Logs. • When requested, maintain small engines (generators) not supported by base vehicle support flight

The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel. This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
