About this opportunity

Nature Divers in beautiful Roatan is searching for volunteer OWSIs interested working in Marine Ecology Projects while obtaining experience and certifications to advance their diving careers. What we are looking for: Ø Team player, open-minded and interactive personality Ø Willingness to work hard Ø Friendly and positive attitude with all the guests Ø Flexibility, reliability and patience Ø Fluent English is a must. Fluent in Spanish is preferred and French or Italian is a plus. Ø Minimum one month commitment Ø No drugs or excesses of any kind, respect the craft. The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
