Planet Deepblu is an online marketplace and community where divers can discover their next dive experience and get in touch with dive businesses around the world, while browsing an intuitive map featuring dive destinations, sites, businesses and fellow diver reviews. Find out more on https://www.deepblu.com/planet Role Description: At Planet Deepblu we’re looking for an exceptional relationship builder and a structured Business Development Associate who can take ownership of the implementation of our Business Development Strategy in the Bahamas, Belize or the Dutch Caribbean. You’ll independently schedule meetings with local dive businesses, go door-to-door to share Planet Deepblu’s mission and vision, and initiate long-lasting partnerships with dive operators and businesses on-site. You’ll implement our business development strategy, recruit new partners, walk them through the on-boarding process and increase their engagement and the revenue they generate. As an enthusiast and experienced diver, you bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in outreach and relationship management. You are addicted to the ocean, proficient in both English and Spanish, goal-oriented and comfortable taking initiative. You are (soon to be) located in the Bahamas, Belize or the Dutch Caribbean for at least 3 to 6 months and you’ll have time to visit 1 or 2 dive businesses on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of an upcoming platform that brings divers, diving and dive operators closer together, making a meaningful impact on the future of the business as a whole. Responsibilities: • Independently implement Planet Deepblu’s Business Development strategy and drive growth in terms of local partnerships. • Plan, execute and scale our partners recruiting program to grow our local dive operator network. • Maintain close relationships with partners to keep them engaged and help them throughout the on-boarding process. • Create and present weekly reports and analysis to the Head of Business Development, located in the Bahamas. • Keep abreast of newest trends, innovations and developments in the diving industry with a strong understanding of market demands in terms of dive travel.

The candidate shall research available and emerging technologies and work with the customer diving program manager to identify areas where technology advances in diving and maritime operations can benefit the customer. Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel.

Specifically, the candidate should look for solutions to technology gaps, resource protection, and enhanced equipment training methodology that will save training time, funding, or enhance combat survivability of operators during water operations. Technical: The candidate shall assist the customer by providing technical experience in the operation and maintenance of assigned diving equipment, boats, and outboard motors, and operate boats during unit dive operations at the discretion of the customer. In addition, candidate dive locker candidates shall support development of waterborne operations procedures designed to enhance the combat readiness and collective skills of customer operator personnel. This position is replacing a Master Diver who's looking to retire but would like to cross train / data dump to the incoming Master Diver which shouldn't take more than 1 week.
